Travie Promised to Marry Katy Perry
Katy Perry has been marked for marriage - her boyfriend has given the singer a promise ring. Gym Class Heroes star Travis MCCoy insists he's not ready to wed the pretty I Kissed a Girl singer - but he plans to one day.
He says, "I gave her a promise ring. It was a way of showing her that I wanted to take it (relationship) to another level. We're not engaged or anything but we've been seeing each other for the past three years…and I felt it was time to solidify things, so I bought her a ring."

Exclusive: Gym Class Heroes Feat. The-Dream - "Cookie Jar"
Gym Class Heroes have premiered a new video for their 2nd single "Cookie Jar" which will be listed in their fourth album "The Quilt". The song features rapper The-Dream singing the chorus with the band's frontman Travis McCoy. Their brand new set is scheduled for release on September 9.
The music video has been shot by director Dale "Rage" Resteghini. It has The-Dream as a guest star and hip hop producer DJ Clinton Sparks as a cameo. They implicitly convey a peace message through the video by showing two-fingers peace sign to the camera.
The band will shortly kick off a series of shows, which is started in Los Angeles, California on August 17. Then, they are scheduled to wrap it up at Washington Avenue Armory in Albany, New York on November 1. In addition, the band will also co-headline a tour with The Roots on October 2 in Baltimore. Travie McCoy: "I Snapped When I Was Called Something Vulgar'"
GYM CLASS HEROES star TRAVIS MCCOY has spoken for the first time since assaulting a fan at a show in St Louis, Missouri, confessing he lost control of his emotions.
The frontman was arrested on a third degree assault charge immediately after the July (08) concert following his microphone attack on a fan.
He reportedly took offence to an audience member who called him a "f**king ignorant n**ger". MCCoy's girlfriend, Katy Perry, has since defended her man, insisting, "There are definitely two sides to every story and you always have to take (that) into account." And now the hip-hop star himself is speaking out.
During an awkward chat with rocker Pete Wentz on Friday night's (15Aug08) FN MTV show, MCCoy said, "I was just called something very disgusting and vulgar and something just snapped in me and I kind of went off the handle."
